Nobody is supposed to notice how thrilled the Democrats and Trump haters in general were, when they watched the eminently preventable January 6 riots. We're supposed to live in the narrative that it's a solemn and tragic moment in American history, that just happens to look a lot like a rhetorical bonanza for the Democrats.

I saw them in Veterans Stadium in New Haven. They each did a set and then they played a set together. I also saw Chicago headline with Curtis Mayfield one time in New Haven too. I don't remember where--all I remember was that it was outside. Mayfield played first and half the audience got up and walked out when his set was over which left Chicago with a half full auditorium.

We’ve become Martha Mitchell, shouting into the void, convinced that if we just scream louder, voters will finally listen. I don't think this is a good understanding of the psychology involved. The point of the shrill screaming about Trump is emotional catharsis, and I'm sure it works, in the way a rat in a cage pushing a lever for a food pellet works. Or in the way doom scrolling on tic-tok works. I don't think they think deeply enough to have convinced themselves that they are convincing anybody else. They just like expressing their emotions. That is how they process them. It takes a long time to process all those emotions, as we can all observe. Especially if Trump gives them a fresh supply of emotions every day.

Agree. Probably shouldnt have said anything. Still, I think the punishment did not fit the crime. Wasnt like she was mean or anything. But, i am sure he has a tough time there. Or anywhere. Just like any kid of a famous person. Most of the people only want to get close to them because of who their parent(s) are. I think it would make you fairly "distrustful" of meeting people and making friends. Fortunately, I dont have to deal with that. 555
